OUR LIV IS FIFTEEN!

This one was special. FITEEN! She's had her eye on this day for an entire year. Truth be told, what she wanted was a traditional Quinceanera. She wanted the dream quinceanera that, at one point, we thought we could make happen for her, but there were so many things working against us this year.

But hey, one thing that I absolutely know how to do is take some photos. We planned a fun session with a stunning dress. It felt MEANT TO BE when I randomly found this single gorgeous pink Mac Duggal ballgown at Nordstrom Rack and bought it. A $400 for less than $100 in her signature color?? TAKE. MY. MONEY. NOW. It was THE dress for this shoot.

My oldest daughter made a dummy cake and I bought some balloons on Amazon and we were set.

Listen, photoshoots are long and tiring sometimes. But when you're teenager tells you that her inner little Liv is so happy; that she's thrilled at all of it. The dress. The colors. The experience. When she grabs your hand in the car on the drive home, you melt into a million tiny puddles on the floor. You've saved a bit of it. A bit of childhood. A big of becoming a woman.

That's what a Quinceneara is all about.
